Hello, I'm Geoff. I was born and raised in Sevenoaks, went to Wildernesse School (now Trinity School), and passed my own driving test here in 1998. Today I teach every lesson myself, on the roads I grew up on.

Safe hands for your son or daughter
Choosing who sits beside your son or daughter is a big decision. Many parents, especially parents of daughters, ask me about safety first, and they're right to.
I taught my own three sons to drive, so I've been the parent watching from the doorstep too. And when other driving instructors need someone to teach their own children, they ask me. Read what teaching my sons taught me →
What you can count on
- Always me. I teach every lesson myself, so you'll always know exactly who is in the car.
- Fully DBS checked and a DVSA-approved driving instructor.
- Dual controls in both cars, for everyone's safety.
- Firm on safety, never sharp. I don't need a smooth ride, just a safe ride.
- Working in partnership with you, with feedback after lessons whenever you'd like it.
- Pick-ups agreed with you, from home, school or Sevenoaks station, with a break between lessons so I'm never rushed.

How I teach
Many people come to me feeling nervous, and some after a bad experience elsewhere. I'm calm and patient, I explain the why behind everything, and I adapt until it clicks.
I'm also a trained NLP Master Practitioner. In plain English, it helps me notice the worries people don't always say out loud, and help nervous learners stay calm when it matters, including on test day.
- Instruction. I show you how to do something, and why.
- Coaching. You take the lead while I guide you.
- Assessment. Mock tests on real Sevenoaks routes, so you're genuinely ready, not just lucky.
I won't take you to test unless you're ready. And on the day, if you'd like me to, I'll be sitting in the back.
Who I teach
First-time learners, nervous and returning drivers, drivers from overseas, and neurodivergent learners, including people with dyslexia, ADHD or autism.
A bit more about me
I've loved driving all my life, and now I get to pass that on. My priority is to help you drive safely, not quickly.

Racing. I've won two UK Caterham championships and raced across Europe. It taught me more about observation and calm decisions than about speed. Read what racing taught me about teaching →
Coaching young people. I've coached the English under-18s target rifle squad, helping young people stay calm under pressure, which is exactly what test day asks of you.
Running businesses. I spent over 20 years running businesses before teaching, which is why my lessons start on time and everything runs smoothly.
