Sevenoaks Driving Lessons – Website Terms of Use
Last updated: 11 October 2026
Please read these terms before using our website. They explain the rules for using the website. They do not cover driving lessons, which are governed by our separate Learner Driver Terms, or purchases from our online shop (see clause 7.2).
1. About us
1.1 This website is operated by Geoff Newman, a sole trader trading as Sevenoaks Driving Lessons ("we", "us", "our"). Geoff is a DVSA Approved Driving Instructor.
1.2 Our address is 46 High Street, Sevenoaks, Kent, TN13 1JG. You can contact us by phone on 01732 617 882 or by email at hello@sevenoaksdrivinglessons.co.uk.
2. What these terms cover
2.1 These terms apply to your use of sevenoaksdrivinglessons.co.uk (the "website"). By using the website, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the website.
2.2 These terms do not cover driving lessons. You can use the website to find out about our lessons and send us an enquiry. Sending an enquiry does not create a booking or a contract with us. If we are able to offer you lessons, we will send you a link to our booking form. Any lessons you book are governed by our Learner Driver Terms, which you will be asked to read and accept on the booking form before your booking is confirmed. If anything in these terms conflicts with the Learner Driver Terms on a matter relating to lessons, the Learner Driver Terms will apply.
2.3 Our Privacy Policy explains how we use personal information, including the details you give us through our enquiry form. Our Cookie Policy explains how we use cookies on the website.
3. Your legal rights
3.1 Nothing in these terms affects your legal rights as a consumer. For information about your rights, you can contact Citizens Advice.
4. Using the website
4.1 The website is free to use and is provided for your personal, non-commercial use.
4.2 You must not misuse the website. In particular, you must not:
- (a) use it in any way that is unlawful or fraudulent;
- (b) introduce viruses or other harmful material, or try to gain unauthorised access to the website or the systems it runs on;
- (c) use the enquiry form to send spam, abusive or offensive messages, or information you know to be false; or
- (d) interfere with anyone else's use of the website.
4.3 We aim to keep the website available, but we may need to suspend, change or withdraw all or part of it, for example for maintenance or updates.
5. Our content
5.1 The text, images, logos, design and other material on the website are owned by us or used with the permission of their owners.
5.2 You may view the content, and print or download extracts, for your own personal use, as long as you do not alter them and you keep any copyright notices in place. You are welcome to share links to pages on the website. You must not otherwise copy, reproduce or use any of the content for commercial purposes without our written permission. This does not affect anything you are allowed to do under copyright law.
6. Information on the website
6.1 We take care to keep the information on the website accurate and up to date. This includes prices, lesson types and the areas we cover. Before you book, we will confirm the applicable price and lesson details. Once your booking is confirmed, those details and the Learner Driver Terms will govern your lessons.
6.2 Any general guidance on the website, such as driving tips or information about tests, is provided for general information only. For official rules and test requirements, please refer to GOV.UK and the DVSA.
6.3 Any figures on the website about how many hours or lessons learners typically need, or about pass rates, are a general guide only and are based on the source or period stated alongside them. Every learner is different. The number of lessons you need will depend on your previous experience, how often you have lessons and practise, and how you progress. We cannot guarantee that you will pass your test within a particular number of lessons.
7. Links to other websites and our shop
7.1 The website may contain links to websites run by other people, such as the DVSA or GOV.UK. We do not control those websites and are not generally responsible for their content, availability or privacy practices. You should review their terms and privacy notices. A link does not mean we endorse the website or the people who run it.
7.2 Our shop: our book and related content are sold through Payhip, an online sales platform run by Payhip Ltd. When you buy, you are buying from us, Geoff Newman trading as Sevenoaks Driving Lessons, and your purchase is governed by our Digital Product Terms of Sale. Payhip provides the shop, checkout and delivery, and you will be asked to accept Payhip's terms and privacy policy when you use its platform. Your payment is processed by the payment provider you choose at checkout. Payhip's terms do not affect your legal rights as a consumer. If you have a problem with a purchase, please contact us using the details in clause 1.2.
8. Our responsibility to you
8.1 If we fail to comply with these terms or fail to use reasonable care and skill, we are responsible for loss or damage you suffer that is a foreseeable result of that failure. Loss or damage is foreseeable if it was obvious it would happen, or if both you and we knew it might happen when you used the website. We are not responsible for loss or damage that is not foreseeable. This clause does not affect any rights or remedies that cannot lawfully be excluded or restricted.
8.2 Because the website is intended for domestic and private use, we are not responsible for business losses arising from use of the website, including loss of profit, revenue or business opportunity. This does not affect liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited.
8.3 We are not responsible for delays or failures caused by events outside our reasonable control.
8.4 We do not exclude or limit our liability in any way where it would be unlawful to do so. This includes liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, and liability for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation.
9. Changes to these terms
9.1 We may update these terms from time to time, for example to reflect changes in the law or in how the website works. The updated terms will apply to your use of the website from the date they are published, and the "last updated" date at the top of this page will change. If we make significant changes, we will highlight them on the website.
9.2 Changes to these terms do not affect lessons you have already booked. Those lessons remain governed by the Learner Driver Terms you accepted when you booked, unless you agree otherwise or the law allows a change.
10. Other important terms
10.1 If a court finds any part of these terms unlawful, the rest will continue in full force.
10.2 If we do not enforce any of these terms immediately, we can still enforce them later.
10.3 No one other than you and us has any right to enforce these terms.
10.4 These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. You can bring legal proceedings about the website in the courts of England and Wales. If you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland, you can also bring proceedings in your local courts.
