Sevenoaks Driving Lessons – Digital Product Terms of Sale
Last updated: 11 October 2026
These terms apply when you buy our book or related digital content from our Payhip shop. Please read them before you buy, particularly section 4, which explains that you lose your right to cancel once you access your purchase.
1. About us and these terms
1.1 Our products are sold by Geoff Newman, a sole trader trading as Sevenoaks Driving Lessons ("we", "us", "our"), 46 High Street, Sevenoaks, Kent, TN13 1JG. You can contact us by email at hello@sevenoaksdrivinglessons.co.uk or by phone on 01732 617 882.
1.2 Our shop runs on Payhip, an online sales platform operated by Payhip Ltd. Payhip provides the shop, checkout and delivery of your purchase, and you will be asked to accept Payhip's own terms and privacy policy when you use its platform. Your contract to buy our products is with us, and is governed by these terms. Payhip's terms do not affect your legal rights against us as a consumer.
2. Our products and prices
2.1 Our products are digital, such as ebooks and downloadable guides. Each product page describes what is included, the file format (for example, PDF) and anything you need to use it, such as a device that can open that format.
2.2 The price is shown on the product page at checkout. Payhip collects any VAT due on our behalf, and the price you pay at checkout is the total price.
3. Buying from us
3.1 You place an order by completing Payhip's checkout. Our contract with you is formed when your payment is confirmed and you receive an order confirmation email from Payhip with access to your purchase.
3.2 Please keep your confirmation email. It includes your download link and confirms what you bought, the price and your agreement to immediate access (see section 4).
4. Immediate access and your right to cancel
4.1 When you buy online, you normally have 14 days to cancel. For digital content that you can access straight away, this right ends once you start downloading or accessing it, provided you have agreed to this beforehand.
4.2 At checkout, you will be asked to agree to immediate access to your purchase and to confirm that you understand you will lose your right to cancel once access begins. Your order confirmation will confirm this.
4.3 This means that once you have accessed your purchase, you cannot cancel it or get a refund simply because you have changed your mind. This does not affect your rights if something is wrong with your purchase (see section 5).
5. If something is wrong with your purchase
5.1 Under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, digital content must be of satisfactory quality, fit for purpose and as described. If your purchase is faulty, for example a file will not open, is incomplete or does not match its description, please contact us using the details in clause 1.1.
5.2 We will first try to fix the problem or send you a replacement. If we cannot do this within a reasonable time, or without significant inconvenience to you, you are entitled to a price reduction or a refund, which may be up to the full price.
5.3 If faulty digital content we supply damages your device or other digital content, and this is because we did not use reasonable care and skill, we will repair the damage or compensate you.
6. Using our products
6.1 We own the copyright in our products. When you buy one, you get a personal, non-transferable licence to download, view and print it for your own use.
6.2 You must not share, copy, resell, upload, distribute or publish our products, or any part of them, without our written permission. This does not affect anything you are allowed to do under copyright law.
6.3 Our products give general guidance about learning to drive. They are not a substitute for lessons with a qualified instructor. For official rules, please refer to The Highway Code, GOV.UK and the DVSA.
7. Our responsibility to you
7.1 We are responsible for loss or damage you suffer that is a foreseeable result of our breaking these terms or failing to use reasonable care and skill. Loss or damage is foreseeable if it was obvious it would happen, or if both you and we knew it might happen when you bought the product. We are not responsible for loss or damage that is not foreseeable.
7.2 Our products are for private use. We are not responsible for business losses, such as loss of profit or business opportunity.
7.3 We do not exclude or limit our liability in any way where it would be unlawful to do so. This includes liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, and for breach of your legal rights as a consumer.
8. Your information, complaints and other terms
8.1 Payhip shares your name, email address and order details with us. We use them to deal with your order and keep records for tax purposes, and we do not use them for marketing. Our Privacy Policy explains more.
8.2 If you have a complaint, please contact us using the details in clause 1.1. We will acknowledge it within 5 working days and aim to resolve it within 14 days.
8.3 We may update these terms from time to time. The terms that apply to your purchase are the ones in force when you bought it.
8.4 If a court finds any part of these terms unlawful, the rest will continue in full force. No one other than you and us has any right to enforce these terms.
8.5 These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. You can bring legal proceedings in the courts of England and Wales. If you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland, you can also bring proceedings in your local courts. Nothing in this clause removes any mandatory legal rights you have where you live.
